In Jesus, You Have All You Need

“To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.”

Ephesians 3:8

Ponder This

The apostle Paul, who penned these words to the church in Ephesus, left a rising career as one of the brightest up and coming Jewish scholars. He left his standing among the religious leaders of the day, setting aside His reputation, laying all that down for “the unsearchable riches” of life in Jesus Christ.

Have you been complaining about your poverty? Listen, you may not have much money in the bank, but you are immensely wealthy. You’re in the King’s family! “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together” (Romans 8:16-17).

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). “You were enriched in everything by Him” (1 Corinthians 1:5).

Practice This

I want you to remember that you’re a prince, a royal blueblood if you’re born again. No matter how poor you may be in this world’s eyes, in Jesus Christ, you are rich. You are a child of the King!
