Jesus: Worthy Of Worship

Some years ago there was an incredibly gifted concert violinist named Fritz Kreisler. He had a Stradivarius violin. Let me tell you how he got it. At one time, the violin belonged to an old Englishman. Kreisler heard about it and offered to buy it, but the old man said it was not for sale.

One day he ventured to the old man’s house and said, “If I can’t buy it, may I touch it?” The old Englishman invited him in. Kreisler picked up that violin and then he tucked it under his chin. He began to draw the bow across the strings.

The old Englishman sat there and great tears began to well up in his eyes, then course down his cheeks. Moved with emotion he said, “It is not for sale, but it is yours. You are the master and alone are worthy of it!”

That is what worship is all about. God is the Master and He alone is worthy of our praise. Psalm 29:2 says, “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
